So since the European Union is created, we can do business with other countries (part of the UE) easily. There are fewer barriers than before as we have a free movement of goods and services, we do not have customs post anymore, we have a free movement of persons, free movement of capital, an equity market, a common currency... It facilitates the trade between these 27 countries, or to implement a business abroad. However, implement your business in another country is not the easiest thing. Instead all these countries are different, the climate is different, the culture is different, even if it is said that we have a common market, it is quite different as well. That means that to implement a business abroad, you have to adapt your product, your service, find a way to communicate, take care of the symbols, the education of the people, there values and attitude, adapt yourself to the way of working of the future employees... in few words, to adapt yourself to a new way of thinking and working. We decided to take the example of the huge American company Starbucks to show the different dimensions to take into account when trying to enter the European market. Table of contents: Introduction I) The Product Choices according to Starbucks' Targeted Markets - Which products and geographic markets are targeted? II) Methods of Development and Market Entry for Starbucks - How is the business developed within the EU? What methods and modes of market entry are employed? III) The Competitive Platform - Does the firm pursue a strategy based on cost leadership or differentiation? - An important choice of products - A diversified structure - About the marketing - Starbucks: also a cost leader? IV) The Key Industry Variables - What are some of the key industry forces in the EU context and how do they influence firm strategy? V) The Strategic Orientation of the Company - Does Starbucks pursue an integrated global, regional or localized strategy? VI) Organisation of the business in terms of decision-making and the configuration of units/activities - With a look at HQ-SBU and HQ-subsidiary ties - Employment - International organisation - Within the biggest market of the brand: the USA VI) The Marketing Strategies - To characterise the firms approach to marketing in the EU, including its pricing and branding strategies - The marketing strategies - Starbucks' pricing strategy - Starbucks in the U.E. Conclusion Sources
<shortdescription_html>Today, the European Union represents 27 different countries; these countries have a common market, common ''citizenship', common institutions and a body of common law. During this period, man-made emissions of greenhouse gases have increased, largely as a result of the burning of fossil fuels for energy and transportation, and land use changes including deforestation for agriculture.

The resources of Vietnam and its opportunities

Resources in Vietnam are nowadays a very big stake for the country. Indeed, there are the keys of the country development in an economic view but also and especially in an environmental aspect. Forest resources are one of them. Vietnam has a landmass of 330,000 km2, administratively divided in 61 provinces. But the landscape of Vietnam is becoming different. Indeed the several wars, the high population pressure and the aggressive economic development policy since the 1960s in the north and since the late 1970s in the South have been the main factors that lead to this changing landscape pattern. The forest conservation is really important for environmental nowadays in Vietnam. Natural gas resource is another environmental factor in Vietnam. Indeed the production and consumption of natural gas is increasing rapidly since 90's and was around 141 billion cubic feet in 2005. The problem is that there is only a few numbers of fields which can provide new natural gas. Oil resource is also one of the environmental factors in Vietnam. Indeed, the Vietnam has 600 million barrels of proven oil reserves, but Vietnam hasn't oil refineries because its production is almost all destined to the exportation. Oil output decreased in the last 2 years in Vietnam after a lot of years of increasing. Marine and coastal environmental protection is one of the key of environmental factor in Vietnam. The problem is that in the last few years, the growth rate of industrial production as a percentage of GDP increase around 10-15% in these regions. The pollution is one of the consequence of the industrialization of the coast but also the tourism which increase more than 400% and will increase around 1000% until 2010. The stake here is to protect the marine and coasts environment. Coal in Vietnam is the last topic that we spoke about. Coal is a modest but growing part of Vietnam's energy mix. Indeed, the production of coal is increasing but it is a bad thing for the environment because of the pollution rejection into the air and the bad effects on the population (sicknesses and troubles). We specify our research of three subtopics: - Marine and coastal environmental protection; it is a really important problem nowadays in Vietnam. One of the problem is the tourism - Coal; the production is becoming higher in Vietnam, especially for the exportation and its can causes lot of bad effects on the environment on the population. - Forest Conservation is the third topics that we chose to keep in charge because the deforestation caused a lot of bad effects of the Vietnamese environment and the trees are very important for the ecosystem and the biodiversity. It would be interesting to develop theses subtopics in this report by showing the SWOT, PEST and the solution that we can bring to the different problems. Table of contents: Introduction Coal resource - Presentation of the topic - Deliverable 3 : SWOT / PEST / Business Opportunity Marine and coastal environment - Presentation of the topic - Deliverable 3 : SWOT / PEST / Business Opportunity - Deliverable 4 : Legislation Forest conservation - Presentation of the topic - Deliverable 3 : SWOT / PEST / Business Opportunity - Deliverable 4 : Legislation Conclusion References
<shortdescription_html>Resources in Vietnam are nowadays a very big stake for the country. Farmers have crossed plants in order to produce more. Consequently, the food that is eaten today is not pure.
