    Analysis of the exclusive distributor of Disney's product, Disney Store, presenting the company and an internal and external diagnosis.

    Before 1987 the products were only present in the parks. The first « Disney store », opened in 1987 the 28th of March, sold trade goods coming from surplus in the stocks of the theme park's store.

    Then specific products were created, even if there was no real innovation. The products stayed similar to those from the parks. Thus the selling of products from American parks plunged, causing Disney to separate the two offers.

    The first Disney Store has been built in a shopping centre in Los Angeles, nearby the Walt Disney headquarters.

    In 1997 the number of stores went beyond 600 over the world, picked up in the United States and in ten other countries (...)
