    English study on a French newspaper article about the fear in enterprises. The article aims to highlight the role of fear and uncertainty, and to explain how to manage the fear in order to make it have a positive impact.

    The article I decided to talk about is "La peur dans l'entreprise". It is a very interesting article about the fear in the enterprise. Indeed, fear is a human emotion, and is obviously present in enterprise but is often denied by the management and by the employees. The article aims to highlight the role of fear and uncertainty, and to explain how to manage the fear in order to make it have a positive impact and not a negative impact.
    To manage the fear, some actions can be taken. For instance, we learn that hiding the fear (manager that are scared and try not to show it) is a really bad move because it allows it to spread. Management has to communicate and to avoid isolation. Indeed, taking care of the weakest, of the isolated employees, reassure the others

    [...] According to Nicolas Buttet, ethics is “the art of finding a way to live happily in community with others”. Fear in the enterprise is thus strongly related to ethics. Indeed, when there is a climate of fear in a company, people is not happy and tend to isolate from the others. An ethical company has to fight against fear and excessive stress (which leads to burn-out and harassment) in order to create a serene environment. (...)
