We can observe that the world is globalizing and the telecommunication industry is become more and more global.

The term globalization which started being used in the 1980s, is the tendency for the world economy to act as one unit, led by international companies doing business all over the world. - Financial globalization allows the free circulation of capital
    - Informational globalization: wherever people live they can access the same information, watch the same TV programs, etc.
    - Cultural globalization refers to increasing cross-cultural contacts

This brings us to the globalization of trade, also called free trade, thanks to: reducing or eliminating tariffs, reducing transportation costs, and reducing capital controls.

The rapid spread of information technology and the internet is also changing the way companies organize production, and increasingly allowing services as well as manufacturing to be globalized.
Progressive companies are taking advantage of some of these changes, modifying their offerings, creating partnerships, embracing technology, revisiting their value proposition to align with what is important to clients.
Roughly speaking, the globalization phenomenon these last thirty years, generated by improvements in transportation and telecommunications, has amplified the economic, financial, cultural differences between human societies.
