    The island of Cyprus is situated in the Mediterranean Sea, under Turkey. It stretches 150 miles from the West Coast to its easternmost tip and 60 from North to South. In October 2004, there were about 763 000 inhabitants, a number which increases a lot during tourist flows, especially on winter and on summer.
