    Created in November 1997 as a Public Company1 by Cameroonian and foreign economic operators (Groupe FOTSO, SNAC Assurances, DEG: German Company), the Commercial Bank of Cameroon (CBC)2 is an important financial institution in the Central African Sub-Region with a capital of 7 000 000 000 FCFA since the 16/05/20023 and which has as its principal mission to accompany enterprises and individuals in their operations and the financing of their activities and projects.
    The shares of CBC are 100% private and are owned as follows:
    - Cameroonian Investors: 71,23% in which we have the Groupe FOTSO and SNAC Assurances (filial of AGF).
    - Foreign Investors: 28 ,77% of which 15% is owned by D.E.G. (Deutsche Investitions - Und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH) in Germany (...)
