Résumé

The future of the Stability and Growth Pact seems to be an uncertain one! In that way, to understand clearly the importance of the actual calling into question of the Pact and in order to be aware of the criticisms made on it, we have to study at first, its content in more details. This more precise presentation of the Pact will be a good occasion to re-examine the conditions and the reasons of its establishment. Moreover, this reminder concerning the Pact's substance will be also a good way to analysis economists and politicians' criticisms. Secondly, an examination of the relevance of Pact's alternatives proposed by political and economical observers will be an interesting thing in order to know: if the Pact should be maintained, reviewed or at worst suppressed?
