Résumé
Human resource management could appear for a student who never works in this sector something really abstract. To understand what HRM is today and what its organisational purpose is, one must investigate the whole evolution of HRM. In the early years when organisational behaviour was breaking through, the research had mostly abandoned the idea of people working like machines in factories. The idea of thinking employees as more than a resource with other capital goods was emphasized. The functions of HRM are many. It is trusted with issues like assessment, reward systems and human resources development. In addition it is responsible for all the administrative issues as payrolls and practical things of daily work. The evolution of HRM has resulted in trends of the modern HRM theory that might be the "learning organisation" and continuous development of operations that lead to better results in business and are considered to be highly strategic assets.
