Résumé

The UNESCO define the Culture as "the set of distinctive spiritual, material, intellectual, and emotional features of society or a social group, and that encompasses, in addition to art and literatures, lifestyle, ways of living together, values system, traditions and beliefs".
Even if the definition of what is the Culture in general is explicit, there are some questions that are still not answered. The first one is: is there only one global culture or are there various different cultures? My own experience permits me to answer quickly to this: there are no doubts that various cultures exist, otherwise why should we speaking about "cultural shock" when you are an Erasmus student? So, we can ask us why differences exist between culture, and what the origins of these cultural specificities are. However it is not as easy as people think to understand this diversity. Indeed many people see the Culture as being something common to a country but don't see all the others cultures include within the country' culture. This is maybe the main point and the main difficulty for those who want to give a definition of culture because of its complexity but also because the Culture is everywhere.

That's why we would study the Culture in his large sense in a first part; and in a second part we will analyse the Nordic Culture and his specificities. Of course all these points will be illustrated by examples coming from my experiences in France, Sweden, and other countries.
