Nowadays, women's and men's educational level are at similar grade in most developed countries. Paradoxically, women, who represent the major part of the population, are underrepresented in managerial and top administrative occupations, despite numerous laws introduced on order to guarantee equality among men and women. This gap which seems to be inexplicable can be interpreted as an unfair situation for women who have to face job discrimination. Thus, the question is: should big corporations be forced into applying affirmative action to improve the male/female ratio in management positions?
