This passage is situated at the very end of the novel. It is included in the last letter Walton writes to his sister. In this letter, he relates his encounter with the monster, just after Victor's death. The whole extract is mainly constituted of a long monologue made by the monster, in which he explains his feelings and relationships towards Victor. For the study of this extract, I'm going to focus in a first part on the monster's evolution, showing his feelings change from lament to repentance. And then, in a second part, I'm going to talk about the characteristics of this epilogue...
