Chapter 16 is the end of the monster's tale, it's a pivotal chapter. It narrates the final straw, the monster's disillusion and increasing rage.

For the study of this extract, I'm going to focus in a first part on the monster's evolution, showing he's a devil in the making. And then, in a second part, I'm going to talk about Shelley's art, the means she uses to make us sympathize with the monster.
