Résumé
The atherosclerosis becomes apparent by a stricture of arteries, linked to the forming of a greasy deposit, called slab of atherome, on their lining. The deposits of lipids begin to develop from the most youngest age. The time going by, the slabs of atherome proliferate and enlarge, obstructing progressively the blood vessels, particularly the coronary arteries because they are nutrients of the heart, and the internal carotid arteries which irrigate the brain, the abdominal aorta and the arteries of the lower limbs. The troubles appear when the critical level of arteries' obstruction is reached (between 70 and 80%) and when the organs' cells start being short of oxygen ...
