Résumé
(...) The wine is appreciated for its taste everywhere in the world. I have chosen the wine industry in France for this assignment because this country is the vine biggest grower all over the world. On this market, the principal competitors are in Europe, and Europe is also the principal customer of the wine. But the market tendency is for stabilization of the growth and of market share between competitors. In the objective to analyze the French sector of the wine in the world, I will use the Porter's Diamond. Michael Porter's Diamond model helps to understand why some nations are more competitive than others are, and why some industries within nations are more competitive than others are.
Four attributes of a nation comprise the Porter's, they are:
- Company strategy, structure and rivalry.
- Demand conditions.
- Related and supporting industries.
- Factor condition.
In this model, we can also analyse two other exogenous determinants:
- Government.
- Chance.
