Altering an organism's genes for human benefit has begun 10,000 years ago with the beginning of cultivated wheat. Farmers have crossed plants in order to produce more.
Consequently, the food that is eaten today is not pure.
Nowadays, scientists can transfer genes between species, which was impossible to do before. However, genetic manipulations are now used to modify or create new organisms like plants and new kind of food (...)
