During the 17th century, the artistic and literary life have both been mainly concentrated in Paris, where the court and government were now established at the centre of an increasingly centralized country. In which extent will the relationships between these actors change over the Eighteenth Century? Will the public be more diverse or more homogeneous? Will it inspire more deeply the artist and the writer works? Which relation will entertain the critics and the artists?
Actually, the public will bear some transformations within its structure, becoming broader, more literate and more diverse. Thus it will have an increasing influence on the artist and the writer works.
