Résumé
E.Leclerc is one of the biggest distributors in France. It's the reason that we have decided to study its inventory management, which is very important in this sector. In fact, distributors have to be very careful with their inventory management, because it implies the satisfaction of their customers. Distributors must not have their supermarket empty; it would mean a lack of benefits due to incapacity to answer to a high level of demand. It's for that reason that distributors have tried to perform their inventory management.
Few year ago, E.Leclerc has implemented a new system of inventory management, in order to maker easier this management. This system is now managed by informatics, and it allows making orders as soon as the quantity is at a too low level.
Therefore, in order to have a good view of the problematic, we first collect information about the company: E.Leclerc; then, we go to present the old inventory management system; and to finish, we go to study the new one.
