Résumé
This year, I spent 12 weeks on Rocky Springs Station: a cattle farm in North Queensland. I met people who helped me to understand a new way of farming in a different environment. North Queensland is a wild area with a very strong climatic pressure where it is very difficult to breed cattle. However, Rocky Springs is well-adapted to its environment and thanks to this report we will see how.
To understand how it is possible to have a flourishing enterprise in an unfavorable environment, we will start, in a first part, with the presentation of the farm and its context. Then, in a second part, we will try to explain how this station adapts itself to the context setting out the strength and the weakness. Finally, we will see the projects which will help Rocky Springs Station to still be adapted to its environment in the future.
