Résumé
The 2nd chapter is a continuation of chapter 1, because Victor goes on relating his background, but here he focuses on his adopted sister Elizabeth and his life-long friend Clerval. He also draws a self-portrait of himself in which we've got clues to understand the way he will behave, keys which foreshadow what will come next. For the study of this extract, I'm going to focus in a first part on Victor's personality, explaining why he can be compared to a Modern Prometheus. And then, in a second part, I'm going to talk about Victor's punishment, because of his defying of the laws of nature, as we have clues to understand the nature of it...
