Résumé

The present work has for object to describe and to analyze the phenomenon "announcement" in the birth in the Arabic and local culture of the western center of Tunisia (Sidi Bouzid).

Being hospital speaker, we were confronted with difficult situations with regard to the announcement of the simple diagnosis, to that of an invalidating, incurable disease, andor the arisen unexpected. Certainly we wish to announce the cure, the good particular health of an expected and wished child, but on the contrary, we shy away in front of the announcement of the "evil". It is the reason for which, we engaged an entitled research work: announcements in the birth and the present article of which we lead (infer).
