Résumé
This document is extracted from the Paul Auster's book, Moon Palace, which was published in 1989. This text deals with an important matter, which is poverty, men without any shelter. I shall try to answer the following question: is there any evolution between the beginning and the end of this extract? Which one? I'll speak first about the route of the man, then the degrees of light, and finally about the narrator's kind of transformation.
Beginning of the study p. 60: "Night was approaching, and before too many hours had passed, I would have to find a place to sleep".
End of the study: "Before I remembered to take the knife out of my pocket, I was fast asleep".
