Résumé
In the letter IV, the narrator is Robert Walton, an explorer. He writes to his sister Mrs Saville, who is in England, to give news about his expedition. He explains that he rescued a man, alone on piece of ice, in the middle of the North Seas, and who was on the brink of death. This man is Victor Frankenstein, the main character of the story, who was chasing the monster in the North Pole. In this letter, I'm going to focus on Victor and Walton's characters, and then their relationship, between pointing out the fact that this extract is interesting by its elements of suspense.
