Résumé

The world is full of treasures created years by years, centuries by centuries, millenniums by millenniums. Realized by different artists, with different tools, methods, styles and influences, each of those works of art has his own riches and characteristics.

However, if one stage of the History of Art has turned me upside down, I should say that it is the Renaissance. Impressed by the precision, the meticulousness accurate of those artists, I just could become passionately fond of them and their marvelous productions.

Sure of the wish to share my passion for the Renaissance, I decided to make my report on the country where this period is born: Italy. Nevertheless, in front of this subject's extent, I had to narrow it, so I decided to choose one Italian artist of the Renaissance.

Among Raphael, Leonardo da Vinci, Michel Angelo, I really had the choice. Making research, I found a document about the impressing Sistine Chapel ceiling and stopped my choice on Michel Angelo.

Advanced and talented, Michel Angelo has been famous very young. He had the chance to be commissioned tasks and protected by prominent people and traveled a lot inside Italy. Influenced himself by great artists, his work is very hide in quantity as in genre: he worked as a painter, poet, sculptor and architect.

We will start with Michel Angelo's biography before describing the realization of the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.
