« Quality in broadcasting is a highly disputable issue. It actually appeared almost at the same time as the television did. Many are the concerns related to this dispute and various and contradictory are the opinions of the people involved in the media and the broadcasting industry. It constitutes of an important debate to examine and analyse for broadcasters and regulators, probably even one of the most important ones.

However, as noticed, little research has been made on the quality in broadcasting, and few things have been written about it. That is one of the problems that characterize this concern. For the purpose of this essay, an attempt is made to examine the different aspects of the problem created by the term quality and analyse the different perspectives on what constitutes quality in broadcasting at present. »
