Around 1996 an article about child labor in Pakistan published by Life magazine let Nike know the problems it would have to face in the future. In fact, the article showed a 12 year-old boy called Tariq, stitching together pieces to do a soccer ball, for which he would be paid no more than 60 cents. In less than three weeks, activists from all over Canada and United States started the struggle against all the profitable sportswear companies in the world.
