Résumé
Essay on the junk food in the USA. The junk food is the pejorative name given by the ecologists and altermondialists to a certain type of food with little choice and a standardized taste. It drives to an unbalanced diet which favours obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and cancers. The French term has been created by Stella and Joel de Rosnay in their book “La Malbouffe”. It names a kind of alimentation which doesn't answer to physiologic needs because it's too sweetened, too fat or poor in nutrients. This definition is always on top but the term is extended to denounce the consumption. The junk food is often used to fast foods and spreads to food industry. So, we'll first speak about fast foods in the USA, to continue with an American survey about sodas, then we'll deal with the obesity in the world an especially about children's obesity, to finish by the consequences of this medical disease.
