Résumé
Study on the immigration in the USA. During the mid-19th century, Irish were rejected, and in the 20th century, there was a backlash with Eastern European. People in favour of reducing or shutting own immigration think there are too many immigrants, especially illegal immigrants, they fear that the immigrants threaten the unity of American culture (because new immigrants don't assimilate), and finally think that the US can't afford to provide so many non-Native born with social services. The question of immigration is linked with other issues such as economic and social problems.
