Why have I chosen to write about psychology in the movies of Alfred Hitchcock ? Because psychology plays a main part in many movies of this extraordinary film director, even if the form taken by the use of that social science can be very different in all the movies he made, as we will show it in the first part of our analyse. But why such a use of psychology on the part of Alfred Hitchcock ? It's obvious that he didn't make it at random. Hitchcock used psychology in his movies on purpose, with a precise goal. Thus, we will try, in the second part of our analyse, to tell what could have been the origin of such a fascination on the part of Hitchcock, and to tell what was his goal in using psychology in his movies [...]
