Essay on the genetic modification. Nowadays, the genetic modification is increasingly used in several domains like medicine or agriculture. The aim of genetic engineering (or Genetic Modification) is to introduce physically new characteristics in order to make for instance a crop resistant to herbicide or to produce a new protein. Nevertheless genetic engineering brings about apprehension in public opinion because this new science can create Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) which are not appreciated by the media. Where should scientific place the limitation on this type of research?

Today genetic modifications take integrally part from our modern life for example when we buy vegetables, they may contained GMOs. Yet public opinion now needs to know if it is healthy. Undoubtedly Human beings need to use this new technology because it has several advantages. This science allows developing medicine progress; for example it permits the production of human insulin through the use of modified bacteria.
