Résumé
Analysis of three articles: differences of approach, common ideas, personal opinion... With more than 40 million sold copies, The Da Vinci Code has become a cultural phenomenon. The best-seller, which has just been adapted for cinema by Ron Howard, begins with a spectacular murder in the Louvre Museum. All clues point to a covert religious organization that will stop at nothing to protect a secret that threatens to overturn 2,000 years of accepted dogma. Thus, it appears that one of the most popular novel of our time is also one of the most controversial. Indeed, by denying that Jesus is divine and by portraying the Catholic Church as evil, The Da Vinci Code arouses huge criticism from many Christian groups. The Roman Catholic Church even spoke out against what it says are « shameful and unfounded lies ».
